An Early Trip to Mt. Shang
By WEN Tingyun
Tr.ZHAO Yanchun
At dawn to the trip bell I rise;To my homeland I let out sighs.O’er the moonlit inn roosters crow;Past the frosty bridge few souls go.Live oak leaves to the hill trails fall;Gardenia flowers light the post wall. Of Birchleaf Pear Ridge I’ve a dream:In the pond geese and mallards team.
